Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Mary Leigh Pirtle was elected to serve as legal advisor on the board of directors for the Middle Tennessee Society for Human Resource Management (MT|SHRM). Her term begins in 2024 and will last two years. Previously, Mary Leigh served on the MT|SHRM board as legislative affairs from 2022-2023.

Mary Leigh counsels clients on a wide range of day-to-day employment matters, and regularly conducts onsite internal investigations into allegations of employee misconduct. With experience in both traditional labor and employment litigation, Mary Leigh has represented employers against claims ranging from wage and hour violations to Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) violations.
